We are New York Italian Market, exclusive distributors of products from Royal Crown Bakery/Cafe. For those of you familiar with Royal Crown, you already know the quality and selection available to you, but for those of you who do not, let me tell you a little something about us.
In 1987 Giuseppe Generoso decided to open a bakery after working at a pastry shop on Bleeker St. in Greenwich Village in Downtown Manhattan for more than 15 years.

He bought a bakery in Brooklyn, New York, that had a century old brick oven in it. Originally planning to sell only pastries, he started making bread at the request of some of his customers. Much to his surprise, the customers were returning for the bread. Instead of turning them away, he improved on his recipes and started offering more types of bread. More than 15 years later, he now offers over 20 types of bread, along with a full line of pastries, cakes,and cookies.
Piazza Mercato, our Brooklyn Salumeria
We do all our own cooking and curing of meats here at Piazza Mercato in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. We also make our own Balsamic Vinegar reduction in our brand new facility on Staten Island that we use for our salads and antipasto dishes. The vinegar which we call "Royal Crown", is now bottled and for sale. Click on the "Balsamic Vinegar" page to learn more about it.
Paneantico is our Brooklyn location of our Bakery/cafe. Similar to the Staten Island location, exquisite bakery items, sandwiches and hot foods are served here. And of course the bread, which has made us famous.
